Sinister decided to throw an after party for Anderson, and Big Nog at a local lounge called Momo’s. The night started slowly because the fights didn’t end until 10pm or so, and the traffic leaving the event was nuts. When the fighters showed up people were stoked to see them, and they got much love from the crowd already at Momo’s. To add to the good times we did some give away’s sponsored by Dragon, MMAfanshop.com, Osiris and of course we gave some Sinister brand clothing out. DJ AS-IS came up for the event so he played the turn tables from 11-close. Anderson and Nogueira celebrated with the crowd, and the night ended late. John Gordillo from MMAfanshop.com was really excited to hang out with all of our fighters and crew. As a big fight fan he enjoys the perks of being a sponsor and retailer of Sinister Brand.
By the time the night was slowing down all the drink tickets were gone and the dance floor was packed. In the VIP area Anderson and his crew laughed, danced, and took many pictures with the fans that had flocked in. The gear that was given away was accepted well by the crowd, and no one complained about a thing. The venue was a perfect mix of style and size. The door men although given strict rules about shoes and attire were more than happy to work with our promoters in making sure everyone got in and had a good time.
With the party at capacity and the turn tables rocking everyone was having a blast. I’m sure it can be hard to imagine such a good time in Sacramento California, because aside from it being our state capitol nothing seems to happen there. I can assure you we had a blast. The crowd was cool, and no one was stupid so we didn’t have to regulate. The state law says no drinking after 2 in bars so the party wasn’t an all nighter, but I can’t promise we didn’t keep it going back at the hotel.
